RV Camping at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park: What You Need to Know
Camping rates vary from event to event. General Camping passes are good for tents and pop-up trailers, while RV Camping passes cover motorhomes and hard-bodied trailers. Posted camping fees are charged per sleeping unit and allow for one vehicle per site and up to six guests. One guest must be 18 years or older. Purchase camping passes through the official CTMP ticketing page.
RV camping options span infield areas south of the paddock between Turns 1 and 2, outfield spots near Turn 8, trackside locations, and treed backwoods sites. First-time visitors may prefer to set up close to one of two areas with full-service washrooms and showers: one in the infield south of the paddock between Corners 1 and 2, and the other on the outfield side of the Canadian Tire Bridge close to Corner 8.
For most race weekends, camping spots are first-come, first-served. A limited number of reserved camping spots are available for the Castrol Victoria Day SpeedFest, Chevrolet Grand Prix, and CTMP Labour Day Sprints events. Book early as they sell out.
These are dry camping sites — no electric or water hookups. Guests are permitted to run generators from 8am to 11pm. There is a designated grey-water disposal area in the infield. Small fires are allowed at your campsite unless local fire bans are in effect. Check current Ontario fire bans before arriving. Dogs are welcome on leash at all times.
Guests are free to bring their own food and beverages including alcohol. Glass containers are not permitted anywhere on the grounds.

What to Pack in Your RV for Canadian Tire Motorsport Park
- Ear protection: trackside camping at a motorsport circuit means prolonged exposure to very high noise levels; bring quality ear plugs or earmuffs and spare sets for guests
- Layers and rain gear: the cold and temperate climate of Bowmanville means you will want to think ahead with what you pack. Even in the driest months of the year, the area experiences a substantial amount of rainfall. A rain jacket and rubber boots are essential, especially for May’s SpeedFest Front Gate Tickets
- Sunscreen and a hat: July and August events bring full Ontario summer sun with limited shade at many viewing areas
- Camp chairs and folding table: essential for your campsite setup and grandstand-style viewing from your site
- Firewood: small fires are permitted, firewood is available for purchase on site, but bringing your own ensures supply
- No glass containers: all food and beverages must be in non-glass containers. Bring cans or reusable containers
- Cash or card for firewood and on-site purchases, the CTMP Marketplace, food trucks, and beer garden are all on site during major events
- Walking shoes: the 900-acre facility requires a lot of foot travel; comfortable, waterproof footwear is important
- A site map downloaded in advance, the circuit is large with many camping zones; knowing the layout before you arrive saves time during setup
- Binoculars: multiple viewing zones around the track give excellent sightlines; binoculars bring you even closer to the action at fast corners
- Lawn chairs and camping furniture: bring a few lawn chairs as well for campfire evenings and live music nights Front Gate Tickets
- Portable phone charger: full days away from your RV between sessions will drain your phone battery
- Generator fuel: calculate your fuel needs for the full event duration; fill up before arriving as fuel availability on site is limited
